Spa hair conditioner:
Very light, lighter consistency than I thought, think sort of like the inside of a lemon meringue pie but a bit lighter. Smells lemony, gives great aid in detangling which is amazing since my hair has been loose all week, then I bent over the tub and used the shower attachment to shampoo my hair with my chagrin valley ayurvedic bar (which is also amazing, I'm noticing much less shedding since using it!).
I used the conditioner with my heating cap for about 15 minutes, rinsed with cool water. It rinsed out easily and left my hair smooth and tangle free. This does contain wheat protein.
Simpy Curly conditioning and styling pudding:
Also has a lemony scent. I style my hair in four quadrants, and applied the pudding to each before parting into smaller sections to twist. This also aids in detangling and you can spritz a little water on top if your hair starts drying before styling. You don't need much and this is also light but made my hair feel feather soft.
Twisty locs:
A hair butter that looks hard but emulsifies easily between your palms. You only need a DAB. You all can see how thick my hair is and I really didn't need to add a bunch to each section. Ingredients include honey, jojoba oil, shea butter and some other essential oils. This also smells lemony.
Butter drops:
You can use this for a hot oil treatment or to oil your scalp. It has the same scent but I haven't tried it yet.
Lemon body bar:
A lemony bar of soap for the sexy body, haven't used it yet.
The owner Debra Small is also a very nice lady! I got a prompt email and my goodies were shipped out within a couple of days.

Keeping in touch with your inner child...
Or teenager. I think everyone needs to do this every once in awhile, for me it really keeps things in perspective. A few weeks ago Poppa and I took my nephew Jordan to the park where I proceeded to chase him around for 30 minutes, going across the monkey bars (where I found out I'm not in the best of shape like I used to be!) swinging on the swings (also found out that once you hit adulthood you can't lie belly down on the swing, nor can you sit on your knees in the damn thing. Only one of my legs would fit in the aforementioned manner). I think I had as much fun as my nephew did.
But sometimes when things get to be a bit much, what the heck, kick back in your pajamas, turn on bugs bunny, the roadrunner, ren and stimpy, or hell even those shows you watched as a teenager. You might surprise yourself by having a bit of fun.

Still busy but blessed!
I really wish there were more hours in the day. I STILL haven't figured out how to blog to the fullest extent, nevermind keeping up with everything else. But Poppa got me a crackberry, I mean, blackberry, so maybe it will be a bit easier now.
Now if the crackberry could clean my room, bathroom and do my laundry for me, AND bring me something chocolatey for dessert, it would just seal the deal.
Is it just me? Or was this the wettest NYC summer ever? Although it could have been on hell outside and I really wouldn't know, what with sitting in an air conditioned building all day.
All in all though, I can't complain!

This pic is in lieu of house music....
I don't know what it is, that it just gets deep, deep down into your soul and makes you want to scream, shout, let it all out. I can't explain it, seriously. Have you ever heard a song, that just made you wanna bust a move and start dancing? It didn't matter where you were, hell, you could have your earphones on in the bathroom at work, and all of a sudden that song played, and you just had that urge to dance? Yeah, that's me with my house music, times 10.
The latest song I rediscovered (cause I had it on my ipod already on this Ian Friday mix way back when hubby gave it to me) is "Fight for love."
Now I have to dance. POPPA WE ARE GOING DANCING....TONIGHT!!!! Even if I have to drag ya!
Oh yeah, here's my tribute for the love of house music:

So I've been known to drag things out...
When I was about 6 or 7, I vividly remember watching the videotape of my 5th birthday party over and over again for at least a week. (Remember home movies? My father God rest his soul, was the one in charge of filming all of the corny stuff. He had this Sony camcorder that was larger than life and heavier than a boulder.)
Way after the Harry Potter craze, I decided to purchase one of the books on a lunch break (I worked across the street from the mall). Well, I hadn't even finished the book, but I promptly ran back to the bookstore once my shift ended to buy the next three books in the series.
A month ago, I was insistent on buying Napoleon Dynamite, which I proceeded to watch every night after coming in from work, as well as the stupid ass dance scene every morning BEFORE going to work, you know, the scene with Jamiroquai's "Canned Heat" playing? THEN I was watching Superbad religiously. Maybe it was those goofy ass cops, but those silly movies are addictive.
Anyway, my latest craze is "Twilight". As you all know, you can find "pre-released" films (notice the euphemism) in NY, it's not mine though, I swear. But DAMNED if I'm not hooked like a fish on a juicy worm at the end of a hook.
I've been watching this over...and over...and over! I wish it would come out on DVD already. We recently took a roadtrip and I was insistent on finding the first book to take with me. Which I did, at the GHETTO @$$ library in town as they call it round these parts. Damn dilapidated library. Damn weirdo that kept looking at me and moving so surreptitiously as he thought. But I GOT MY BOOK dammit. Let me say, the book is 10000000000 times better than the movie (they usually are) but you know I had to run out to find the rest of them right? Well, the last book I need to get. I finished the 2nd book "New Moon" in two days and I'm onto "Eclipse" now. I wish people would leave me ALONE at work while I'm trying to read!
"Wow, you're really into that book!"
NO shit Sherlock, so how about you leave me in peace??
I wish I could loaf around all day, reading my books in the solitude of my room, but such is life. So for now I'll just finish this blog and continue on with my reading.
