"Well, that was quite the montage. Can't say I cared for the audio, so I listened to Michael Jackson instead. The images alone are powerful enough. I've always been one to relate the current state of affairs to the past, but I'm now wondering if black people would be so different if we had arrived in America like typical immigrants.
The bar of excellence has been set so high by the likes of MLK jr., Malcolm X, Cosby, Obama, Oprah, etal...that when you see a fool act out it resonates throughout the "community". Whereas, if we had come here voluntariy, would these negative images still carry the same weight to effect strangers who have nothing in common but skin tone."
